The club 10 mile time trial championship is an event that any club member over 12 can ride in, and compete for some valuable silverware. Not only is it a counting event in all the club’s major season-long competitions, but there are three trophies on offer:

The 10 Mile Cup – awarded to the fastest club rider

The Cecil 10 Mile Shield – awarded to the fastest lady club rider

The Junior 10 Mile Cup – awarded to the fastest club junior

Even if you’re not a regular time-triallist, or you don’t think you’re in contention for a trophy, this race gives everyone the rare opportunity to ride on a fast course and maybe do a personal best. Canewdon Village Hall will be closed that day so there’s even more reason to pop over to Bulphan and have a go. The normal Sunday cuppa and chat activities will transfer to Bulphan Village Hall which has a large car-park, plus changing rooms with showers.
Email your entry to timetrial@southendwheelers.org by Wednesday 28th May please. After the success of the Easter Egg 10 there will be much interest from members of other clubs, so get your entry in quickly to avoid disappointment; there are only 60 places available.
UNDER 18s – don’t forget we’ll need to see an up-to-date, signed and completed CTT parental consent form if you haven’t produced one already this season.
