Sunday 26th July - Sunday 10, Bulphan
A good size field faced a south-westerly wind and a race to complete
the event before the rain started. Fastest Wheeler was James Jenkins
almost 1:30 ahead of 24 hour hero Matt Welbourn. Phil Warner was fastest
Veteran, Denise Kemp fastest Lady, Hannah Shean fastest Lady Junior and
Jack Evans fastest Juvenile. The webmaster is claiming fastest non-aero!
Fastest rider overall was ex-Wheeler Simon Alexander, Richardsons-Trek
with a time of 20:22. There were 3 Personal Bests set by Hannah Shean,
Les Bantock and Elizabeth Simpson.
Unofficial Course Record: Simon's time of 20:22 is faster than
the official course record of 20:26, set by someone from Maldon by the
name of Alex back in 2006. Unfortunately as Simon's time was a club
event it does not stand as the official course record.
