2016 April Racing and Time Trial Update

Wednesday 27th April - Wednesday League

Wednesday 20th April - Wednesday League
Jamie Maidment was fastest Wheeler on teh opening night for solos, Nick Morley, on his first ride as a Wheeler, was second, fastest veteran and first on handicap, Simon Smith, also in his first ride as a Wheeler, was first on Veteran Age Standard, Denise Kemp was fastest Lady, Alex Sinclair fastest Junior and Sinead Clark set a PB as fastest Lady Junior. Lloyd Chapman, Pedal Heaven, was fastest on the night. Nicola Wright rode her first time trial and Andy Merchant his second. Results. Tables

Saturday 16th April - 10 de Grote prijs cafe 't Hoekske Junior, Belgium
James Jenkins took second place in this tough Belgian race, just 2 second behind the winner. 4 other British Juniors also made the top 10

Wednesday 13th April - 2-Up 10 Mile Time Trial
The 2016 Wednesday League opened with the 2-Up with a good entry of 18 pairs and one single rider. Fastest on the night was Lloyd Chapman (Pedal Heaven) riding solo with a time of 21:08, fastest duo were the Richardson-Trek pair of Simon Alexander and Dean Shannon on 21:11 with Southend Wheeler's pair James Jenkins and Paul Hart next home in 21:45 some 2 minutes clear of Dave Pennington and Phil Warner. Saturday 9th April - Lea Valley 25, E2
Paul Hart (50:19) and Dave Pennington (55:50) both set PBs on the E2 course, good enough for 8th and 75th places respectively. Excellent rides by both.

Sunday 3rd April - Chelmer Road Race, Roxwell
James Jenkins was 4th in the 2/3/4 Race and Ben Willy and Dave Pennington were 20th and 21st in the 3/4 Race

Monday 28th March - Easter Egg 10 Mile Time Trial
Unfortunately high winds resulted in this event being cancelled

Saturday 26th March
Katie-Ann Elliston won her race at the Stratford Circuit

Friday 25th March - ECCA 25
Paul Hart won the ECCA 25 in a time of 55:19 (his Personal Best for this distance according to the Webmaster's records), faster even than the 59:51 two-up time of Dave Pennington and Jamie Maidment, good enough for second in the team competition.

Saturday 10th March - ECCA 10 - Six Mile Bottom
Maldon's Movistar's Alex Dowsett was quickest at the season-opening ECCA 10, recording a time of 17:46 almost 2 minutes quicker than Rob Young's (Team Vision Racing) 19:42. Jamie Maidment was 31st in 23:10 - his best ever time for a 10 mile Time Trial. What a way top start to the season.
