Club Membership changes for 2021

With club activities curtailed by the global pandemic, the membership year has been changed from October renewals to January so membership for 2019-20 has been extended until the end of the year with club membership renewals now due in January 2021

CTT - New Time Trial Regulations for 2020

From the 2020 season it is compulsory to have a working rear light to enter a CTT sanctioned event. No light, no ride.

Please be aware that membership of Southend Wheelers does not include any legal or insurance benefits.
It is your responsibility to take out membership of one of the various organisations which offer legal and membership benefits, such as British Cycling or Cycling UK, to sufficiently cover your cycling activities.

Committee Meetings

The Committee generally meets on the 3rd Friday of each month. If you have any items that you wish to raise with the Committee you may do so through either the Members' Rep - Matt Welbourn - email: or you are welcome to attend a meeting. If you wish to attend any Committee meeting please can you let me know a week in advance so that the item to discuss is included on the agenda.

Southend Wheelers Facebook Page -

The Southend Wheelers Facebook Page is now a closed group; members are encouraged to join, but please allow a little time for the administrators to grant access. Ad-hoc rides and race and TT results are often posted there as well as any general chit-chat, lost and found, wanted, for sale or advice.
Note that only club members will be accepted into the group.
